Responsibilities

  • Work closely with patients to resolve billing and payment issues.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies in patient accounts.
  • Process payments and refunds.
  • Review and update patient insurance information.

  • No set hours each week. The more departments able to cover for, the more hours we can schedule work. It's a remote role for a large Central billing office. Doing verification, auth, posting, billing and AR follow up. Raintree experience or PT experience preferred.
  • $15-$20hlry
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in medical billing and collections
  • Knowledge of medical billing and coding, insurance regulations, and healthcare reimbursement policies
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Waystar, Japari and other computer programs
  • Experience with multi partnership billing, posting, and authorization and verifications preferred

Your role will be critical in our billing and claims department, and you will be asked to facilitate procedural requirements, including data elements, insurance verification, authorization for services, and collections for all patient portions, including prior balances.
