Reporting to the Manager, Software Engineering, the Software Engineer IV will design, develop, and maintain payer customer implementations supporting our Authorizations suite. This role is expected to be approximately 80% back-end development and 20% front-end development, with a strong emphasis on technical leadership, system reliability, and operational excellence. This is a senior individual contributor role that serves as a technical leader and mentor, helping shape team standards, architectural decisions, and long-term platform stability. You will help drive improvements in observability, reliability, and operational readiness for systems used in high-impact, high-availability healthcare workflows. Role qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. 8+ years of progressive software engineering experience in Agile and/or iterative environments. 6+ years of experience leveraging the following languages and frameworks: Java SQL databases JavaScript RESTful APIs Web services AWS experience required, including deploying, operating, and monitoring production workloads. Experience with React is a plus. Experience with Vue is a plus. Demonstrated experience acting as a technical lead, setting direction, and influencing engineering standards without direct people management responsibility.
