Additional Information
The internship will focus on 3D simulation of the following topics Mixture preparation process in the engine, resulting in a quantitative assessment of fuel wall film formation and subsequent soot formation. Thermal simulations including 2 phase conjugate heat transfer of components associated with the automotive thermal systems. Heat exchangers and flow path optimization. The intern will contribute by validating CFD models using measurement data from tests, and develop optimized designs for engine sprays, thermal units and heat exchangers to improve performance/efficiency and mitigate existing problems. The intern will also contribute towards identifying and proposing process improvement methods in CFD.
