The U.S. Insurance Companies Compliance team is seeking a Compliance Specialist to support annuity product initiatives within the Product Compliance division, based in Woodland Hills with a hybrid work environment. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a highly collaborative environment, working closely with Product Management to ensure product innovation and enhancements are delivered in a compliant, well-governed manner. Additionally, the role provides visibility with senior leaders and the chance to contribute meaningfully to a Product Compliance program that supports innovation while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory integrity. The Compliance Specialist will serve as a key partner to Product Management, providing guidance, structure, and clarity throughout the product lifecycle-from concept through launch and ongoing enhancements. This individual will balance attention to detail with an understanding of overall business strategy and will be comfortable sharing viewpoints, influencing discussions, and preparing executive-level briefings related to product compliance efforts. While experience with annuity products is a plus, this role is especially well-suited for a strong communicator and quick learner who can synthesize complex regulatory concepts and translate them into practical guidance that supports Product Management objectives.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Legal, and Compliance teams supporting Individual Retirement to ensure consistent and coordinated compliance support for product initiatives.
  • Represent Product Compliance on cross-functional product working groups, contributing perspectives, raising risks early, and supporting product governance guidelines.
  • Coordinate and report on Product Compliance initiatives, activities, and key milestones related to product development and enhancements.
  • Developing clear, concise executive briefings, summaries, and presentations that communicate progress, risks, and recommendations.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leaders on product-related compliance work, emerging issues, and priorities.
  • Support surveillance and monitoring activities designed to identify product-related risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Qualifications and Skill Sets Required
  • Bachelor's degree or evidence of advanced financial services industry experience required.
  • Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation skills, including experience preparing materials for executive and senior leadership audiences.
  • Ability to think strategically while managing detailed execution across multiple product initiatives.

  • Confidence and presence to speak up in meetings, share viewpoints, and engage leaders in a constructive manner.
  • Strong judgment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify compliant, practical solutions that support business objectives.
  • Able to appropriately prioritize workload and execute a high-volume of work in a timely fashion using organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret information to present it in a meaningful and engaging manner to various executives and leaders.
  • Experience with annuity products (Fixed, Indexed, Registered Index-Linked, or Variable) is a plus but not required.
  • Familiarity with FINRA rules, SEC regulations, and NAIC Model Regulations is a plus but not required.
