As a Diagnostic Inside Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing sales for IDEXX's Rapid Assay, Chemistry, and Fecal businesses through phone, email, and virtual meetings with customers. You will collaborate with the field-based Veterinary Diagnostic Consultants (VDCs) in your assigned geography to agree on and prioritize opportunities to generate revenue through adoption, utilization, and conversion of select products in the IDEXX portfolio. You will build strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and present tailored solutions to drive business growth. You will partner with the broader commercial ecosystem, as needed, to ensure successful implementation and conversion of different growth initiatives. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, a strong sales mindset, and a drive for meeting and exceeding targets. The primary success metric for the position is quarterly revenue closed during sales calls. Training start date for this role is September 14, 2026. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include activities outlined below and any additional tasks that may be assigned to support the business needs: Use sales tools to maintain a robust pipeline of sales opportunities in a high-volume outbound calling and email environment. Collaborate with Veterinary Diagnostic Consultants (VDCs) in aligned territories to agree on and prioritize customer opportunities, customer development plans, and appropriate next steps. Lead IDEXX Rapid Assay, Chemistry, and Fecal product sales conversations within assigned territory, handling opportunity identification, gaining agreement, closing sales, and ensuring successful adoption through ongoing customer engagement. Develop, implement, and maintain leads for the IDEXX field sales ecosystem for the assigned territory. Collaborate with Companion Animal Group (CAG) Commercial field team to ensure adoption, utilization, and conversion of IDEXX products and services. Deliver relevant customer training and education to achieve sales goals. Consistently achieves quarterly & annual quotas. Positively promotes and represents the IDEXX brand. What you need to succeed: 5+ years' experience selling products and/or services to customers almost exclusively via telephone and internet (e.g., chat, email, video conferencing, etc.) Candidates in MST or PST are preferred. Diagnostic or life sciences sales preferred. Experience developing new accounts and/or generating new business from existing accounts. Executes core activities with some assistance / guidance from manager. Experience pursuing sales leads within assigned territory, defined by geographic area, industry, or product/service segment in alignment with field ecosystem. Experience executing sales strategy, identifying new opportunities/leads, and leveraging sales tools to deliver sales outcomes. Travel Requirements: Travel up to once per quarter (approx. 3-4 trips/year), typically 2-4 days within your region Week 3: One-day local co-ride (no travel or overnight stay) Week 5: Travel to headquarters in Maine for training What you can expect from us: Hourly rate of $29/hr + based on experience & ability to earn quarterly commission.
