POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education/Licensure/Certification: Graduation from an Occupational Assistant program with a minimum of an Associate's degree and successful completion of clinical internship requirements. Current Licensure or eligibility for licensure by the Board of Medical Examiners, State of California required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Knowledge: One year of professional experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant preferred. Basic knowledge and understanding of occupational therapy procedures and techniques required for providing routine inpatient, SNF and outpatient physical therapy treatments. Knowledge of infection control procedures. Knowledge of proper body mechanics.
