About the role

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of New Jersey is proud to represent the federal law enforcement interests of the people of New Jersey and the country. The office is responsible for the prosecution of federal criminal statutes for all of New Jersey, from acts of terrorism to public corruption, white-collar crime, organized crime and gang activities, internet-related crimes, drug importation through New Jersey ports, and many other criminal acts. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience for the respective grade level in which you are applying: To qualify at the GS-14 level, you must possess: Specialized Experience: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service performing (obtained in either the public or private sectors) ALL of the duties listed below: Coordinating or implementing communication strategies to carry out public affairs activities and to promote programs, products, and/or services of an organization; Writing, editing or preparing communication materials (news releases, fact sheets, brochures, blogs, web pages, etc.) related to crime, law enforcement actions, legislation, trials, court decisions, developments in the financial market, scientific research, or technology; Interacting with the public and news media on behalf of an organization; Maintaining effective communication with management, public, media or government officials.
