Maintenance Officer

Requirements

• You're reliable, hands‑on and take pride in delivering high‑quality work. You enjoy working independently while being part of a broader community team.
• You will have:
• Experience in general maintenance or handyman work
• Practical knowledge of tools, materials and maintenance tasks
• Current NSW driver's licence
• Basic computer and iPhone skills
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
• Ability to manage your time and work independently
• Commitment to safety and following procedures
• Experience in retirement living, aged care or similar environments is highly regarded.

As a Maintenance Officer , you'll play a key role in ensuring the village remains safe, functional and well‑presented every day. Your Opportunity Full Time | Monday to Friday | Forestville (St David's Village) As a Maintenance Officer, you'll be responsible for the day‑to‑day upkeep of the village - ensuring buildings, facilities and shared spaces are maintained to a high standard. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work and values being part of a community environment. With a proactive and practical approach, you will: Complete general repairs (e.g. doors, locks, painting, minor roofing, gutter cleaning, basic concreting and gardening tasks) Carry out preventative maintenance across village assets Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition Keep accurate records of work and safety procedures Support a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents Interact respectfully with residents, staff and contractors
