Responsibilities
- Site & Workshop Operations Support

- Coordinate with supervisors, foremen, technicians and workers on daily work assignments.
- Track worker attendance, deployment, overtime and job allocation where required.
- Assist with coordination of subcontractors, vendors and delivery personnel.
- Ensure workers are briefed on work scope, safety requirements and daily priorities.
- Escalate discipline, productivity or manpower shortage issues to management.
- Materials, Tools & Equipment
- Assist in checking material availability before work starts.
- Follow up on pipe fittings, consumables, tools, PPE, welding items, mechanical parts and site equipment.
- Support simple stock tracking and record-keeping.
- Report missing, damaged or unsuitable materials to the supervisor.
- Coordinate with procurement/admin team for urgent material requirements.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare simple daily progress reports, site photos, attendance records and job updates.
- Assist with service reports, work completion records, delivery orders and inspection documents.
- Maintain proper filing of drawings, permits, checklists and project records.
- Update management on completed works, pending items, variation works and site issues.
- Use WhatsApp, email, Microsoft Excel, Word and basic digital tools for reporting.
- Safety & Compliance
- Follow shipyard safety rules, company procedures and client site requirements.
- Assist in ensuring workers use proper PPE and comply with safe work procedures.
- Support permit-to-work, toolbox meeting, risk assessment and safety documentation where required.
- Report unsafe conditions, near misses or incidents immediately.
- Work closely with WSH personnel, supervisors and client representatives.
Requirements
- Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident preferred.
- NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Electrical & Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- Candidates with relevant hands-on shipyard, marine, offshore, construction, fabrication, piping or maintenance experience are welcome.
- Able to work in shipyard, workshop and outdoor site environments.
- Able to communicate clearly with supervisors, workers, clients and vendors.
- Able to read basic technical drawings, work instructions or site sketches.
- Basic Microsoft Excel, Word, email and WhatsApp reporting skills.
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality and follow-through.
- Willing to learn marine piping, mechanical works, site operations and project coordination.
- Class 3 driving licence will be an advantage but is not compulsory.
- Forklift, lifting supervisor, welding, safety or shipyard-related certificates will be an advantage.
