Requirements
- Active RN license in North Carolina or a Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
- Current ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
- Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing required (BSN or MSN preferred)
- Experience with telemetry and/or cardiac surgery strongly preferred
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Additional Information
- Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate and update patient care plans
- Performs bedside point-of-care testing as required
- Assesses and anticipates discharge planning needs for patients and families
- Identifies and addresses cultural and ethnic considerations in patient care planning
- Candidates should be prepared to report for a drug screen within 24 hours of committing to the position
- Background check and drug screen results may take at least 2 weeks; start dates may be adjusted accordingly
