Responsibilities
- Shall ensure the Project is executed as per the agreed contract specification, project cost, timeline and Contractual frame.
- Guiding the technical team in design reviews and ensuring the design documents are reviewed within the contractually agreed turnaround timeline.

- Co-ordinate and monitor the various site construction activities.
- Shall identify and implement non-EPC works for smooth transition to asset management on achievement of Project COD
- Shall conduct the weekly site review meetings, quality review meetings, HSE review meetings, site walks, and Monthly Progress Review meetings.
- Shall prepare and assist Project director in carrying out necessary correspondence with Owners Engineer and EPC consortium related to site activities for time delay, quality related issues, contractual and technical deviation, commissioning activities and performance tests.
- Develop new methods and procedures to project activities including supervision of contractor's project execution processes. Identify the areas for value engineering opportunities and take up with EPC for implementation and project cost saving measures
- Shall be responsible for assessing the contractor claims and developing suitable records for countering them. Shall monitor design and construction activities and lodge necessary claims with Contractor on any acceptable deviations for passing on such benefits to employer
- Prepare and submit periodic work plans and progress reports to management.
- Constantly monitor and regularly report Project progress, including review of contractors' procedures and develop project procedures for owner's team
- Advise company senior management with regard to work challenges, areas of concern for successful Project Execution.
- Participate in the site budgeting process as needed.
- Establish and maintain regular communications and consultations (formal and informal) with primary points of contact involved in the project such as consultants, contractors and other staff
- Shall be responsible for development of systems and procedures related to Commissioning and testing. Shall be responsible for turnover of the Project to Asset Management team. Ensure that the project is achieved within the timeline and budget.
- Develop systems process and SOP for capturing the punch lists and ensure that these punch lists are liquidated within agreed timeline and to the satisfaction of asset management team.
- Shall develop a commissioning coordination procedure involving all partners. Shall coordinate and implement this procedure for smooth and safe commissioning of plant.
- Shall be responsible for successful conducting of Plant performance test and demonstrate to Independent Engineer as per the local Regulatory Authority code.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university either in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 18 - 22 years relevant Combined Cycle power project experience. Candidates having worked in CCGT project with advanced F-class GT will have added advantage.
- Should have worked at the minimum as a Head of Department. Should have been involved in a project from start to completion.
- Should have very good knowledge of Complete Combined Cycle Power Plant.
- Should have exposure to the Project Contract either in EPC or in multiple contract package environment.
- Should have knowledge of complete Project Life Cycle.
- Should have good Project Management skills and adept in conducting meetings with various agencies.
- Must be able to plan and conduct engineering reviews of proposals, plans, estimates submitted by contractor, consultants with a view to making recommendation to management
- Understanding of power generation project procedures and practices.
- Ability to do forward planning of project activities.
- Should have excellent communication skills.
- Ability to communicate well with team members and lead them. Shall be a team player.
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with all the partners, Regulatory Authorities, Third Parties and Stake Holders.
- Knowledge and understanding of environmental and regulatory compliance issues related to power generation projects.
- Must be computer literate, with experience in using Project Primavera is preferred.
