We are looking for a Salesforce Solutions Architect to work with our global client in Washington, D.C. This role will require an onsite presence at our client location. Role Overview The Salesforce Solution Architect is responsible for designing end-to-end Salesforce solutions that meet specific business needs while conforming to the platform standards and architectural principles established by the Platform Architect. The role focuses on understanding business processes, modeling the right data and object design, selecting appropriate Salesforce features and configurations, and ensuring the technical team has clear, implementable solution designs. The Solution Architect works at the intersection of business and technology - close enough to the business to understand intent, and close enough to the platform to make sound design decisions. Unlike the Platform Architect, who focuses on governance, strategy, and cross-platform standards, the Solution Architect is delivery-oriented: deeply involved in sprint-level design, business requirements analysis, functional prototyping, and solution validation. The role operates within defined architectural guardrails and escalates cross-platform or standards-level decisions to the Platform Architect. Essential Job Functions Solution Design & Business Requirements - Engage with business stakeholders, product owners, and business analysts to elicit, analyze, and validate functional and non-functional requirements. - Translate business processes and requirements into detailed Salesforce solution designs, including data models, process flows, object configurations, and feature selections. - Produce solution design documents, functional specifications, and user story acceptance criteria that serve as the basis for development. - Evaluate Salesforce capabilities (declarative features, managed packages, AppExchange solutions) against business requirements and recommend the most appropriate approach. - Identify gaps between business needs and out-of-the-box Salesforce functionality, proposing pragmatic solutions that balance speed, quality, and long-term maintainability. - FSC-specific: Design FSC solutions including relationship management workflows, financial account tracking, referral processes, and client onboarding - leveraging the Financial Services Data Model (FSDM), Actionable Relationship Center (ARC), and FSC-specific objects and features. - Experience Cloud: Design Experience Cloud solutions for internal and external portals, including page layout, component selection, audience targeting, navigation, and user authentication - ensuring a coherent and secure digital experience aligned with IFC branding and access policies. Tools & technologies: Salesforce Setup, Flow Builder, Object Manager, App Builder, Experience Builder, FSC frameworks. Object & Data Modeling - Design and document Salesforce object models, field definitions, record types, and data relationships that accurately represent business entities and support reporting needs. - Make object-level decisions within the FSDM framework for FSC use cases, working within the data governance standards set by the Platform Architect. - Validate data models for scalability, query performance, and governor limit compliance before handoff to development. - Define data migration requirements and collaborate with data engineers and administrators on data loading and cleansing strategies. Tools & technologies: Schema Builder, Salesforce Object Reference, data mapping tools. Process & Automation Design - Design business process automation using Salesforce declarative tools - primarily Flow - selecting the right automation type (Screen Flow, Record-Triggered Flow, Scheduled Flow, Autolaunched Flow) for each use case. - Apply the Flow vs. Apex decision framework established by the Platform Architect, escalating cases where programmatic development is required. - Define a
