Responsibilities

  • Proposal & Tendering: Prepare technical and commercial inputs for new proposals including defining scope, assumptions, instrument lists, control architecture, and electrical requirements. Estimate engineering hours, instrumentation costs, and hardware needs. Support sales with technical clarifications and identify risks with mitigation strategies to ensure competitive, clear, and customer-aligned proposals.
  • Engineering Design & Documentation: Develop PFDs, P&IDs, control philosophies, cause & effect diagrams, and functional descriptions. Design control panels, MCC, PLC panels, wiring diagrams, cable routing, and hardware configurations. Ensure compliance with IEC/NEC/NEMA standards and review external deliverables.
  • Instrumentation Definition, Selection & Procurement: Define instruments per process and customer needs, evaluate suppliers, prepare datasheets and requisitions, and ensure compatibility with control architecture. Follow up on vendor deliveries and documentation compliance.
  • Automation, Control & Integration: Program PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Honeywell, or customer-preferred). Configure control architectures and interface MCC, PLC, DCS, and VFD systems. Support digital initiatives and advanced process control improvements.
  • Project Execution, Follow-Up & Commissioning: Act as technical owner throughout project lifecycle from offer to handover. Attend key meetings, provide engineering updates, support site activities including troubleshooting and commissioning, and ensure timely, quality deliverables. Travel occasionally (2-4 days per trip, 2-4 times per year) mainly within Europe, Central Asia, and North Africa.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control, or similar.
  • Experience in Automation/E&I engineering roles, including preparing technical proposals and cost estimations.
  • Excellent E&I design skills, PLC programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/EPLAN, MS Office, and knowledge of IEC, NEC, NEMA standards.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in mining, aggregates, mineral processing, chemical, or fertilizer industries.
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems (not mandatory).
  • Experience working across international projects and collaborating with diverse teams.
