This is a visible, senior leadership role with accountability for shaping and delivering the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) agenda across Maersk's Landside Logistics & Services (L&S) operations in Australia and New Zealand . You will play a pivotal role in protecting our people, customers, and assets , while setting the direction for how HSE is embedded into day‑to‑day operations, growth initiatives, and long‑term strategy. Beyond governance and compliance, this role is about influencing leaders, enabling the frontline, and continuously raising the bar on safety performance across a complex and fast‑moving operational environment. Requirements

  • You bring senior‑level credibility, practical experience, and the ability to influence across complex organisations. Specifically, you will have:
  • 10+ years' experience in senior HSE leadership roles, ideally across large, geographically diverse operations
  • Strong background in logistics, transport, supply chain, or industrial operations
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams of HSE professionals
  • A collaborative, engaging leadership style, with the ability to build followership across cultures, functions, and seniority levels
  • The ability to translate complex risk and safety topics into clear, compelling messages for different audiences
  • Strong strategic thinking, coupled with the discipline to drive execution and accountability
  • Confidence operating autonomously while partnering effectively with senior leaders
  • A university degree in Health & Safety, Risk, Security, Crisis Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

POSITION SUMMARY Visible senior leadership role in Oceania that drives and delivers the HSE strategy and programs across Australia and New Zealand (Area). Establishing the Area structure and framework for identifying HSE controls and safeguards, ensuring the mitigation of risks that impact our people and our customers. Leads the coaching, development and deployment of the Area strategy for continuous improvement of HSE outcomes across the landside operations of the Logistics and Services (L&S) Products portfolio. Continuously looks for innovative solutions to continue to reduce risk in operations in close collaboration with the business stakeholders
