To help you better understand the role, we've included a few helpful links below: Data Analysts are now called Analytics Engineers Analytics Engineer at Nubank Nubank is looking for a bold and impact-driven Analytics Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This is a full-time opportunity focused on designing, building and scaling data solutions that enable better decision-making across the company. Our Analytics Engineer team operates at scale, supporting multiple business domains with reliable, high-quality and well-governed data products. The role sits at the intersection of data architecture, engineering excellence and business impact, with high autonomy to lead end-to-end data initiatives and influence our data strategy. You'll be responsible for End-to-End Data Projects: leading data projects with high autonomy, from requirements gathering and stakeholder alignment to database modeling and data delivery. Data Pipelines & Ingestion: designing, building and maintaining robust data pipelines, sometimes from scratch, ensuring reliability, scalability and performance. Data Platform Engineering: contributing to the design, documentation, maintenance, monitoring and optimization of our data codebase and tools. ETL/ELT Optimization: identifying opportunities to improve scalability, performance and reliability across our ETL/ELT platforms. Business Translation: translating business needs into data products and solutions aligned with Nubank's data platform tools, architecture and long-term strategy. Stakeholder Partnership: negotiating and defining data strategies with technical and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions, always aligned with Nubank's data governance principles. Mentorship & Data Literacy: acting as a mentor to team members and contributing to data literacy initiatives across Nubank. We Are Looking For a Person Who Has Solid experience in Data Architecture & Design , working in complex and/or large-scale data environments. Strong ability to write highly optimized SQL queries to solve complex problems and perform data modeling. Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining data pipelines from scratch . Strong programming experience with general-purpose languages (e.g. Python, Scala, R). Passion for data and building high-quality data products. Excellent communication skills to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices (documentation, automated tests, clean code, etc.).
  • Experience with analytical data architectures and modeling techniques (e.g. Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Mart).
  • Familiarity with distributed data systems and parallel processing .
  • Ability to abstract business concepts into quantitative metrics (e.g. KPIs, OKRs).
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Power BI, Tableau or similar.
  • Advanced English (B2+ according to CEFR).
