Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

Right Now Group are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor to supervise and control warehouse operations and warehouse operatives, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant handling of all freight and cargo activities, including Air, Ocean, Road, Perishable, and Healthcare shipments. Key Responsibilities Warehouse Supervisor: Maintain operational performance standards and ensure service levels are achieved. Ensure the correct loading, unloading, handling, storage, and dispatch of goods in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Complete and maintain all required documentation relating to inbound and outbound activities. Ensure all arriving vehicles are suitably presented and report any anomalies immediately. Verify that all goods received are accurately signed for, ensuring copies of signed delivery notes are provided to drivers and retained for office records as required. Ensure drivers are issued with all relevant documentation prior to departure. Maintain accurate shift handovers and ensure all relevant operational information is communicated to the next shift supervisor. Provide effective supervision, leadership, and direction to warehouse staff. Communicate job expectations, monitor performance, and provide coaching and guidance. Conduct daily team briefings and communicate company updates, operational requirements, and safety information. Support the recruitment, training, development, and ongoing performance management of team members. Determine staffing levels and allocate workloads to meet operational demands. Manage employee (1-2) attendance, sickness, absence, and holiday requests. Work closely with the Site Operations Manager to plan resources in line with business requirements. Ensure quality procedures are followed and team quality targets are achieved. Location: Langley Salary: £35,000 to £37,000 per annum Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off Hours: 19:00 to 07:00 Key skills & Attributes Warehouse Supervisor: Previous experience within an Airfreight or Cargo Warehouse environment. Minimum of 1 year's experience in a Warehouse Team Leader, Supervisor, or similar leadership role. Strong understanding of aviation security regulations and cargo handling procedures. Excellent people management, coaching, and team-building skills. Experience monitoring operational KPIs and driving performance improvements. Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities. Good communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with staff, customers, and stakeholders. Clear DBS check. Full 5-year checkable employment history .
