About the role

So, what are the main responsibilities of an Online Writer and Community Manager in Netcompany? As an Online Writer and Community Manager , you will: Facilitate active communication and engagement among members by moderating discussions in Linkedin Groups, approving membership requests, and ensuring adherence to community guidelines. Develop, write, and curate high-quality, engaging content tailored to alumni interests, including posts, articles, and multimedia content. Plan, maintain, and execute a structured content calendar aligned with key EU priorities and network activities. Draft articles, conduct interviews with alumni and stakeholders, gather stories, and edit submissions to produce compelling magazine editions. Prepare, edit, and distribute newsletters using EC Newsroom, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery. Apply best practices in social media management to expand reach, increase engagement, and strengthen the EU Alumni brand. Track and analyze growth, engagement, and impact metrics for LinkedIn and newsletters; provide insights and periodic reports. Promote the EU Alumni network to attract new members and actively engage EU staff in Headquarters and Delegations. What would make you a fit for the role: Degree in communication, journalism, digital media, political science, public policy, or a related field. Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills in English (additional EU languages are an asset). Proven experience in social media management and community engagement (LinkedIn preferred). Experience in content creation, editorial planning, and newsletter production. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse, multicultural audiences. Analytical mindset with experience in monitoring and reporting performance metrics. Interest in EU affairs, international cooperation, or alumni/community networks is an advantage.
