Responsibilities

- In this position, you will be responsible for all items above and training team members.
- Location & Travel Expectations :
- This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina
- This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in automotive manufacturing with a concentration within BIW , including the ability to achieve stable production processes.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or related field. An equivalent amount of relevant experience in automotive engineering and production may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Skillful at organizational navigation and cross-functional collaboration at all levels; ability to develop effective partnerships and relationships.
- Creative and strategic problem solver who exercises sound judgment.
- High proficiency with DFEMA, PFEMA, and control plans.
- Metrology equipment knowledge and the ability to use measurement report s to drive product improvements utilizing shim ming to fixtures, jigs, and equipment to meet quality and dimensional requirements within manufacturing,
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 8D or similar method problem solving experience.
- Experience with the use of 8D 's or similar method problem solving experience.
- Familiarity with statistical process control / control charts.
