The role - what you'll do Barr is seeking a water resources engineer to join our Calgary team. In this hybrid role, you will undertake challenging work on projects related to hydraulic and hydrologic analysis, civil engineering, and related technical activities. Additional responsibilities may include field assignments such as construction observation, surveying, and collecting hydrologic or water-quality measurements. The work may involve short-term, out-of-town assignments. A successful person in this role will demonstrate strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite applications, strong written and oral presentation skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively as a part of a project team, and a flexible working style and willingness to occasionally modify personal schedule as required to meet deadlines and/or client needs. Your impact - key responsibilities Technical analysis: hydraulic and hydrologic analysis. Modelling support: experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modelling; familiarity with modelling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, or PCSWMM. Design support: open channel flow design, hydraulic structure design, and completion of plans and specifications.
