About the role
You will serve as an INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the NUCLEAR MATERIAL DIVISION (2305.2), NUCLEAR MATERIAL SUPPORT BRANCH, NUCLEAR ENGINEERING & PLANNING DEPARTMENT (2300) of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience demonstrating expertise in nuclear material warehouse operations, material control, and material processing. Experience demonstrating proficient understanding of nuclear material flow from initial receipt-including receipt assessments-to final issue. Experience utilizing practical applications of inventory control, accountability processes, and Approved Products List / Qualified Products List (APL/QPL) material controls and workflows. Experience utilizing specialized IT applications for daily nuclear material processing functions (e.g., MAT, iNuc forecasting, OneTouch). Experience conducting DMS/LOD deficiency screening and executing appropriate corrective actions. Experience communicating expertly with internal nuclear material divisions, customers, and external stakeholders across multiple methods. GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience demonstrating basic in nuclear material warehouse operations, material control, and material processing. Experience demonstrating basic understanding of nuclear material flow from initial receipt-including receipt assessments and understanding of various material streams and end uses. Experience utilizing basic knowledge of inventory control, accountability processes, and Approved Products List / Qualified Products List (APL/QPL) material controls and workflows. Experience utilizing specialized IT applications for daily nuclear material processing functions in nuclear material processing, and familiarization with DMS/LOD deficiency screening and corrective actions. Experience communicating with internal nuclear material divisions, customers, and external stakeholders across multiple methods.
