Under the direction of the Manager, Emergency Department, you will coordinate all clinical and non-clinical supply ordering and receiving. Accountabilities: In-depth knowledge of the operations of the Emergency Department Create and lead material management by identifying and managing timely and predictable materials delivery, assuring quality, and optimizing working capital Have delegated authority for the purchasing of goods, services, minor and capital equipment in the most efficient and cost effective manner consistent with user needs and in compliance to hospital policies Diploma/certification in related supply chain management or/and quality/auditing field or equivalent experience Medical terminology course required or previous working experience in hospital/health care organization Minimum of two years experience working within a supply chain environment Minimum of three years inventory management experience Demonstrated knowledge of the Emergency Department supplies and equipment Working knowledge of implant inventory is an asset Knowledge of contracts Working knowledge and experience of adjusting par levels preferred Working knowledge of rectifying purchase orders and finance Excellent communication skills both oral and written Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office, including minimum intermediate Excel skills, and handheld barcode technology Physical requirement involving heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending and reaching Ability to deal with high activity with frequent interruptions Demonstrated skills in analysis, statistical record keeping and report writing Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Must demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and Collaboration Excellent attendance and work record Ability to work and travel between all Osler sites Currently Days / Evenings 8 hours, including weekends and statutory holidays.
