Restabuild Engineer

Responsibilities

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Collaborate with Agile development teams to deliver software iteratively from business requirements through production release.
• Break business requirements into well-defined user stories and deliver solutions incrementally.
• Design technical solutions that align with established technology standards, guidelines, and architectural constraints.
• Develop and maintain full-stack applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Support production systems by troubleshooting issues and implementing sustainable resolutions.
• Identify technical debt and prioritize improvements alongside new feature development.
• Pair program with team members to share knowledge, improve code quality, and support continuous learning.
• Work with databases and RESTful HTTP APIs to develop and integrate application functionality.
• Contribute to application reliability, maintainability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate effectively with geographically distributed team members while communicating clearly in English.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated experience developing software using at least one programming language, preferably Kotlin, Java, or JavaScript.
• Willingness to learn and work with multiple programming languages and technologies.
• Experience participating in the complete software development lifecycle, including production support.
• Working knowledge of Unix or Linux operating systems.
• Understanding of relational and/or non-relational databases from an application development perspective.
• Experience developing or consuming RESTful HTTP APIs.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and collaborative engineering practices.
• Ability to design technical solutions while balancing functionality, maintainability, and technical debt.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: November 30, 2026 Work Set Up: Hybrid (3 days per week in office) Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Restabuild Engineer to join a DevOps Services team as a Full Stack Developer supporting the complete software development lifecycle. This role will contribute to the design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing production support of modern applications while collaborating within Agile teams. The successful candidate will deliver iterative software solutions, manage technical debt, and help build scalable, maintainable systems using modern programming languages and development practices.
