About the role
Join Our Coaching Team at Madisons Location: Haywards Heath, West Sussex Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (including early mornings and evenings) Salary: £33,280-£37,440 (depending on experience) We're looking for an experienced Personal Trainer to join our coaching team. This isn't a traditional gym-floor role. Every session is coach-led, every member follows a structured programme, and every coach plays an important role in helping people become stronger, healthier and more confident. We're specifically looking for someone with at least two years' full-time experience coaching small-group personal training sessions (typically 4-6 clients) within a coach-led fitness business. You should be confident leading engaging sessions, building lasting relationships with members, and delivering consistently exceptional coaching experiences. We're entering one of the most exciting periods in our history. As Madisons prepares to open future locations, we're looking for exceptional coaches who want to grow with the business. Today's Coach could become tomorrow's Senior Coach, Head Coach or General Manager as we continue to expand. If you're looking for more than just your next coaching job, this is an opportunity to build a long-term career within an ambitious, coach-led business. Who We Are Madisons is a premium coach-led personal training business built on a simple belief: exceptional coaching changes lives. We don't simply provide access to equipment. Our members invest in expert coaching, accountability and long-term results. Every session is led by a coach. Every member follows a structured training journey. Every interaction matters. For more than a decade, we've built a reputation for delivering outstanding coaching, exceptional member experiences and measurable results. Today, hundreds of members trust Madisons as part of their weekly routine, and we're continuing to grow. We're relentless about standards. Every coach receives weekly education, regular coaching observations, personalised feedback and ongoing mentorship because we believe exceptional coaches never stop improving. Our Philosophy We believe coaching is a profession, not just a job. The best coaches combine technical knowledge with empathy, energy, professionalism and an unwavering commitment to helping people improve. We're looking for coaches who already possess strong coaching foundations and want to continue mastering their craft alongside a team that shares the same ambition. You'll thrive at Madisons if you: Love coaching people, not just counting reps. Take pride in delivering exceptional member experiences. Build meaningful relationships with members. Welcome feedback and actively seek improvement. Hold yourself and your teammates to high standards. Bring energy, professionalism and positivity to every session. We don't expect perfection, but we do expect ownership, humility and a genuine desire to become better every week. What You'll Do As a Personal Trainer, you'll deliver exceptional small-group personal training sessions while helping members achieve meaningful, long-term results. Working alongside our coaching team, you'll play an important role in creating the standards, culture and member experience that define Madisons. Your responsibilities will include: Delivering engaging, high-quality small-group personal training sessions (typically 4-6 members). Coaching members of varying abilities while ensuring every individual feels supported, challenged and valued. Building strong relationships that improve member retention, accountability and results. Learning and consistently applying the Madisons coaching systems and standards. Participating in weekly education, practical coaching workshops and mentoring sessions. Maintaining exceptional standards of coaching, professionalism and facility presentation. Supporting member events, challenges and community initiatives. Contributing positively to a high-performance coaching culture built on teamwork, ownership and continuous improvement. Essential Level 3 Personal Training qualification (or equivalent). Minimum 2 years' full-time experience coaching small-group personal training within a coach-led fitness business. Confident leading groups of 4-6 members. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. High standards of professionalism and attention to detail. Genuine passion for helping people achieve long-term results. Right to work in the UK (we do not offer visa sponsorship). Desirable First Aid qualification. Experience working within a premium personal training or boutique fitness environment. Experience coaching clients of varying ages, abilities and training backgrounds. Our Coach Development Pathway One of the most important parts of this role is your development. Every Madisons Personal Trainer joins a pathway designed to accelerate learning and provide clear progression opportunities. This includes: Mentorship from our Head Coach Coaching from our Master Educator Co
