Aptiv Connection Systems, Chennai Engineering Center in Chennai, India established in 2001 catering complete product development solutions right from concept design till validation testing to global OEMs. Job Summary Proficiency in programming language C/C++ Knowledge of Microsoft .NET Knowledge of Visual studio IDE and using Team Foundation for version control of code Programming skills using NX OPEN, UFUNC API in Siemens NX Proficiency in programming for NX user defined objects (UDO) Solid understanding of CAD NX software functionality (geometric modeling, feature-based design, NX-WAVE concept) Experience in a similar position (CAD/CAM post-processor, programming in another CAD system) Troubleshooting skills to identify and understand complex problems and develop efficient solutions to fix issues within custom programs Understanding of Teamcenter PLM integration with Siemens NX The person employed in this position will be responsible for: Requirements analysis and verification Creating custom applications, automating processes and maintaining existing applications (wizards and tools) supporting design in the CAD system (Siemens NX) using C++ / NX OPEN, UFUNC Debug, investigate and understand legacy code and other organization standards Work in a team, collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors for deployment of applications Development of software documentation for existing legacy C/C++ code Modification of code for Siemens NX version upgrades Analysis of problems reported by users, finding root causes, proposing and implementing solutions Traits we seek A curious engineer who owns the task and acts with urgency in meeting the organizational objectives.
