Responsibilities

  • Case Management: Coordinate referrals, complete forms, communicate with physicians, monitor cases, and facilitate return to work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Associates Degree in Nursing required.
  • Current State Licensure as a Registered Nurse required
  • 3-5 years of experience in occupational health, case management, and clinical nursing required
  • Certifications in First Aid, CPR, Bloodborne Pathogens, and AED.
  • PPE training
  • Recommended:
  • AAOHN membership.
  • COHN certification.
  • CAOHC certification (if required by facility).
  • Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of community medical services for referrals.
  • Effective organizational and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency with office programs and equipment.
  • Teamwork and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain medical confidentiality.
  • Flexible work schedule.
  • Minimal travel
  • Reporting Structure:
  • Reports to EHS Manager, with a dotted line to Corporate Medical Services.

The Occupational Health Nurse will manage medical surveillance and training related to Corporate Medical Services, Be Well, and EHS requirements. Also responsible for facilitating care/case management for employee illness and injury.
