Responsibilities

  • Support aviation medical decision making, including passenger clearances and in-flight medical matters
  • Deliver accurate and timely medical assessments for employees and applicants, maintaining high quality records
  • Provide Medical Review Officer services within the Alcohol and Other Drugs Programme to ensure compliance and safety
  • Conduct occupational health assessments and fitness for work evaluations that enable safe operations

Requirements

  • Broad postgraduate experience in aviation and occupational medicine
  • Background in general practice, emergency medicine, or intensive care is advantageous
  • Current registration as a New Zealand Medical Practitioner, trainee, or Fellow of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine
  • NZCAA Medical Examiner Grade 1 certification, or working towards this
  • Strong clinical judgement, communication skills, and the ability to work across diverse stakeholders.
