Work With Us | Maricopa County, AZ We Require Three years of progressively responsible legal, court, justice system, or administrative support-related experience High School Diploma or GED Post-secondary education may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis We Also Value Bilingual skills in English and Spanish Job Contributions Collect, assemble, organize, and maintain restitution information and case files; Monitor the progress of restitution requests Coordinate with attorneys, victim advocates, and staff members to obtain restitution information from victims and prepare required paperwork for court Review and determine the sufficiency of restitution information Identify, develop, and recommend new or revised restitution processes and programs Maintain a database of contacts and phone numbers for business and insurance victims Redact and scan restitution documents into the data system as required Disclose restitution documents to the defense attorney and prepare restitution motions for the assigned attorney Provide basic resources and referrals to crime victims Attend restitution hearings and other criminal justice-related meetings or proceedings with or on behalf of crime victims to provide factual restitution information or moral support Work in the presence of or with a trained canine that comforts victims Working Conditions Mostly office setting in a high-volume, fast-paced environment that requires extended periods of sitting while completing computer activities Must currently possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona Driver's License at the time of hire The Maricopa County Attorney's Office requires a thorough background check of all successful candidates and is authorized to test prospective employees for the presence of illegally accessed drugs. Drug testing is conducted once an offer has been extended and prior to placement Ability to travel to and from various county locations for meetings and training, utilizing personal or County vehicles Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
