About the role
You will coordinate and teach mathematics education subjects across initial and post-initial teacher education programs, supporting the preparation of future primary and secondary teachers. You will design and deliver learning experiences across face-to-face, online and intensive modes, including tutorials and practical classes, and you will assess student learning and provide timely, high-quality feedback. You will ensure subject design, development, delivery and assessment meet internal quality assurance standards and external accreditation requirements. You will supervise higher degree research candidates as appropriate to level, contribute to research projects (including leading a research team where appropriate), and work with education-sector partners to strengthen professional experience relationships and course development. What Success Looks Like: Mathematics education subjects are coordinated and delivered to accreditation requirements. Blended teaching is planned and delivered effectively across face-to-face and online modes. Assessment, feedback and record-keeping are timely, accurate and student-focused. Research activity progresses from inception to publication with quality outcomes. Partnerships with schools and sector stakeholders support professional experience and course quality. Demonstrated tertiary teaching capability, including contemporary curriculum design and e-learning. Demonstrated experience developing primary and/or secondary mathematics curriculum. Evidence of high-quality publications and the ability to progress research to publication. Experience (or capability) to supervise Honours and higher degree research students.
