Xplor Pay is seeking a customer-obsessed and technically fluent Product Owner to support our payment gateway, Quest, driving execution through its core infrastructure. This role is responsible for translating product strategy into delivery across a modern payment gateway platform that enables vertical SaaS partners and their merchants to accept card payments seamlessly and at scale. You will own backlog execution for capabilities spanning: Core gateway services and APIs Card payment acceptance (authorization, capture, refund, tokenization) Embeddable payment components (SDKs, hosted fields, UI modules) Gateway value-added services (fraud tools, vaulting, recurring billing, reporting, webhooks) Your Mission: Make it easy for software platforms to integrate, embed, and monetize frictionless consumer payments. Product Execution & Delivery Own and manage the product backlog for Quest, ensuring clear prioritization aligned to business goals Translate product strategy into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint-ready work. Partner with engineering teams in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, retrospectives). Drive delivery of gateway features such as transaction routing, tokenization, fraud controls, and API enhancements. Payments & Gateway Optimization Optimize authorization rates, routing logic (including least cost debit routing), and transaction performance. Support expansion into new payment types (e.g., debit, credit, digital wallets, real-time payments). Collaborate on value-added services like recurring billing, network tokens, and fraud tools. Ensure high availability, low latency, and scalability of gateway services. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with compliance, risk, and legal teams to ensure adherence to card network rules (e.g., Visa, Mastercard). Partner with commercial, implementation, and support teams to gather feedback and improve partner experience. Collaborate with UX and developer experience teams to enhance APIs, SDKs, and documentation. Partner & Customer Focus Advocate for ISVs, developers, and merchants using Quest. Identify friction points in onboarding, integration, and transaction processing. Support key partner implementations and escalations when needed. Data & Performance Monitoring Define and track KPIs such as auth rates, latency, uptime, and transaction success rates. Use data to inform prioritization and continuous improvement. Monitor production issues and partner with engineering on root cause analysis. Essential duties include but are not limited to: Supporting major company-wide key initiatives to add new system capabilities. Coordinate on-time delivery of roadmap items with other interdependent departments. Evaluate business processes, performing requirements analysis and documenting requirements. Aligning with business stakeholders on requirements to ensure business needs are being met. Serve as liaison between business stakeholders and scrum teams to prioritize requirements. Provide support and assistance for troubleshooting issues and production support. Monitor deliverables to ensure timely completion. 3-6+ years in Product Owner or Product Management roles, preferably in payments, merchant acquiring, fintech, or SaaS platforms. Experience working with payment gateways, processors, and APIs. Strong understanding of card payments (authorization, capture, settlement, and interchange). Deep experience writing user stories and managing Agile backlogs. Strong technical fluency (APIs, microservices, webhooks, SDKs). Familiarity with concepts like tokenization, PCI compliance, AVS/CVV, and fraud mitigation. Exposure to debit routing, network rules, authorization optimization, payment facilitators, ISV integrations, and embedded payments is preferred. Analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decisions. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. Excellent stakeholder communication skills.
