About the role

Responsibilities
- Operational support in a Control Room environment , monitoring and resolving equipment issues during Clinical Treatment
- Completing corrective and preventative maintenance , primarily out of hours
- Accurate record keeping in line with Medical Device Quality Processes
- Scope of Responsibilities
- Provide monitoring and immediate response in support of the customer during clinical use of the Proton Therapy (PT) System
- Carry out troubleshooting , corrective and preventive maintenance
- Ensure the performance of the PT System meets specifications
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and system performance
- Contribute to fault investigations and ongoing system improvements
- Shift Pattern
- Rotating 8‑hour shifts (Early, Late, Nights)
- Occasional weekend work
- Preferred Skills & Experience
- Good knowledge of electrical, electronic and mechanical systems
- 2-4 years' experience in a regulated service role (preferred)
- Technical experience, or willingness to learn, in the following areas:
- Mechanical, electrical and instrumentation systems interfacing to Beckhoff and Siemens S7 PLCs
- (drives, encoders, safety systems)
- Vacuum Systems
- DC Magnet Power Supplies and Switching up to 1250A
- RF High Power Solid State Amplifiers (150kW)
- Cooling Water and Cryogenic Systems
- Robotics (Kuka KRC4)
- X‑ray Systems
- Fault finding and troubleshooting
- Willingness to work a rotating shift pattern , including nights and occasional weekends
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- Comfortable working at heights and in awkward spaces
- Capable of lifting 16-20kg , in line with HSE manual handling at work guidance
