About the role
We're hiring a Business Development Manager to expand Cadence's capacity to evaluate, pursue, and land high-value growth opportunities across the healthcare landscape. You'll own active relationships and accounts (e.g., medical groups, payers), build the evaluation frameworks needed to systematize opportunity assessment, develop business cases for new deals, and present recommendations directly to executive leadership. This role sits at the center of Cadence's commercial strategy, working across Product, Legal, Operations, and Care Delivery to move deals from first conversation to signed agreement to live execution.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a prioritized pipeline of high-value partnership opportunities, using a systematic framework that pairs industry knowledge and regulatory context to evaluate fit and sequence pursuit.
- Lead end-to-end partnership development - outreach, diligence, business case creation, contracting, and launch - across Cadence's health system and enterprise growth landscape.
- Deliver on existing partner contracts and commitments, ensuring mission-critical KPIs are met and relationships are structured for long-term clinical and commercial success.
- Partner with Product, Care Delivery, Legal, Sales, and Implementations to move deals from signed agreement to live operations without losing momentum or alignment.
- Build repeatable BD processes and systems - from opportunity frameworks to account management infrastructure - that allow the function to scale beyond any single deal.
- Use AI tools to conduct market research and develop compelling partnership and account management presentations for C-level audiences at health systems and enterprise partners.
Requirements
- A strategist who thrives in rooms where the stakes are high, the audience is skeptical, and the answer isn't obvious yet.
- Equally comfortable running existing accounts and originating new ones - you don't wait for a process to exist before you get work done, and you build one as you go.
- Rigorous in your financial thinking - you model the economics of a deal, stress-test the assumptions, and communicate the business case clearly to executives who will push back.
- Credible with senior external stakeholders - payer executives, health system leaders, and C-suite audiences - and able to adapt how you carry Cadence's story depending on who is in the room.
- Clear-eyed about AI as a working tool - you use it to move faster on research, analysis, and presentation work, and you know where it accelerates your output versus where your judgment has to stay in the loop.
- Biased toward action - you move from insight to decision fast, align people across functions, and hold yourself accountable for outcomes, not just recommendations.
- What You Need
- Bachelor's degree required; 4-8 years of experience across consulting, strategy, business development, or partnerships, with healthcare industry experience required, preferably in health tech, digital health, or value-based care.
- Experience at a high-growth startup, scale-up, or pre-IPO company strongly preferred; prior experience at a top-tier management consulting firm strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate growth opportunities, build rigorous business cases, and present economic rationale independently to executive stakeholders who will push back.
- Proven account management experience across complex, multi-stakeholder healthcare organizations, including sustained C-level relationships and accountability for partne

Additional Information
Sixty million Medicare seniors live with chronic disease. The care system sees most of them twice a year. Cadence is building the infrastructure to support them every day. Cadence is a clinical AI company that delivers continuous, proactive care for older adults with chronic conditions like hypertension, heart failure, and diabetes. We pair patients with a dedicated clinical team, integrate deeply into health system EMRs and workflows, and use our Clinical Intelligence platform to monitor vitals, surface risk early, optimize medications, and close care gaps between visits. The result: patients engage with care 100x more than before Cadence, clinicians focus on judgment instead of administrative work, and Medicare saves $2M a week. We operate as a full clinical care delivery organization, not a software vendor. Our clinicians work alongside health system partners, extending the reach of local primary care providers into patients' homes. We're now applying AI agents across these workflows - from alert review and medication titration to lifestyle coaching and care coordination - with clinicians always in control of clinical decisions.
