Job Details Senior Platform Engineer Job Description JOB SUMMARY Responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the underlying infrastructure and platforms both on premise and in the cloud that support software applications and services. Creates scalable, reliable, and efficient systems, automates deployment processes, and collaborates with Development Operations (DevOps) teams to ensure alignment with business goals. Monitors and optimizes platform functionality and performance to ensure seamless operation and integration with business processes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Articulates the job's main responsibilities. Other responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of management to meet organizational needs. - Design and implement scalable and secure platform solutions to meet enterprise requirements. - Develop and maintain automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code for efficient provisioning and deployment. - Monitor platform performance and resolve complex technical issues to ensure reliability. - Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate platform services into applications. - Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance standards across all platform components. - Optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment speed and operational efficiency. - Document platform architecture, configurations, and operational procedures for governance and audits. - Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance platform capabilities. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES - ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT: Works to achieve operational targets with significant impact on job area results. May be responsible for defined components of technical and/or broad projects or processes within job area. - INNOVATION & COMPLEXITY: Responsible for making small to moderate improvements of technical processes, systems or products to enhance performance of the job area. Problems and issues faced are difficult and may require understanding of broader set of issues. Problems typically involve consideration of multiple issues, job areas or specialties.
