IT Specialist (SYSADMIN OS)

About the role

This position is located at Office of the Inspector General for Tax Admin, Office of Information Technology. As an IT Specialist (SYSADMIN OS), you will leverage system administration experience and expertise to provide customer support to all levels of personnel and workstation hardware, software, testing, configuration, and deployment services. You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized Experience: For the GS-13: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes ALL of the following: -Hands on experience with the deployment and support of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions; AND - Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and Autopilot to manage polices and system deployments; AND - Hands-on experience managing devices imaging and applications using Microsoft Endpoint Manager and Intune; AND - Hands on experience with Active Directory, OU (Organizational Unit) management, and GPOs (Group Policy Object); AND - Experience supporting an O365 environment that includes MS Office, OneDrive, Teams (application and devices), and Defender for Endpoint. For the GS-12: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes ALL of the following: - Hands on experience with the deployment and support of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions; AND - Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and Autopilot to manage polices and system deployments; AND - Hands-on experience managing devices using Microsoft Endpoint Manager; AND - Hands on experience with Active Directory, OU (Organizational Unit) management, and GPOs (Group Policy Object). For the GS-11: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes ALL of the following: - Hands on experience with the deployment and support of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions; AND - Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and Autopilot to manage polices and system deployments; AND - Hands-on experience managing devices using Microsoft Endpoint Manager; OR You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: - Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR - 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. Minimum Proficiencies: In addition to meeting specialized experience, at the GS-11 level, individuals must have experience demonstrating each of the following competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Interpersonal Skills, Problem Solving, Teamwork, and Technical Competence.
