Position Summary The IAP/CTS APP is responsible for follow up of all patients in the registry who are under surveillance for their thoracic aneurysm/dilated aorta and/or who have had surgical intervention for their aneurysm including aortic dissection. The APP is responsible for comprehensive assessment and patient education regarding the results of imaging as it relates to risk stratification. Guideline Directed Surveillance will be employed. The IAP/CTS APP will provide education regarding signs and symptoms to report, and reinforcement of activity restrictions for patient safety. The IAP/CTS APP will provide pre op and post discharge care of Cardiac surgery/aortic surgery patients. The IAP/CTS APP is responsible for planning and organizing support groups for patients who have undergone surgery for thoracic aortic aneurysm for patients and family members in the surveillance program. The IAP/CTS APP leads the multi-disciplinary IAP conference. Education Current Advanced Practice Nurse licensed in the State of New Jersey.
