Job Summary The Assembler is responsible for putting together component parts or products according to blueprints or schematics. This role ensures that assembled items meet quality standards and supports the production line by maintaining efficiency and accuracy. Position Summary: Under indirect supervision and following JWCE's Standard Operating Procedures, reads electric schematics and interprets wiring diagrams to assemble, wire, troubleshoot, and complete low voltage, hydraulic package and final quality testing of electrical motor control panels and enclosures. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Performs essential wiring of control panels used in monitoring and controlling electric motors & hydraulic power packs. Performs final quality assurance of all series controls in accordance with company practices, and UL, NEMA, NEC and CSA requirements. Matches complex picking lists and motor control diagrams and review, correct and document discrepancies. Identifies problems and resolves issues to ensure system functions properly. Performs high pot testing of motor control. Assists QA technicians with basic inspection and testing of all model control panels. Maintains organized work station and area. Adheres to safety standards of facility. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned. Must be able to lift up to 35lbs. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Experience, Education & Skills: Required: High School Degree Desirable: 2-year Vocational Certificate in HVAC, Electrical, or Electronics is a plus. 2+ years' experience in a UL Motor Control Panel Shop or Hands-on in a class room setting. Knowledgeable using test meters to perform point-to-point continuity checks. Possess a thorough understanding of control theory and control concepts. Feels comfortable working with medium voltage (up to 120 VAC) Ability to read schematics and interpret wiring diagrams. Able to use basic electrical hand tools. (cutting, crimping, and stripping) Attention to detail. Highly self-motivated. Pay Rate: $23/hr - 23.50/hr We are equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
