Job Description Reporting into the HSE Director, the Corporate HSE Industrial Hygienist will provide leadership and strategic direction through the application of principle-based management practices. This role will be directly responsible for all aspects of IH programs as well other facets of Health-related topics and programs and play an integral part in leading and advancing our industrial hygiene program across IKO organization. Benefits Competitive base salary - $96,000 - $113,000 Health Insurance (includes Virtual Health, and HCSA), Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance Life Insurance, Long-term Disability, Short-term Disability RRSP Match Paid Vacation Floating Days Employee Assistance Program Employee Engagement Events Awards and Recognition Tuition reimbursement Service Awards Employee Perks & Discounts Job Responsibilities Use expert knowledge of scientific principles and concepts to develop the company's IH policies, standards, operating guidelines and leads an industrial hygiene exposure assessment strategy o n such topics as hearing conservation, ventilation management, exposure assessment, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Develop sampling strategies and ensures all sampling is completed per recognized regulations to include job specific job tasks sampling. Work with the analytical lab to ensure all data is analyzed and conducted per the approved testing methodology. Evaluate industrial hygiene program documents, plans, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance and alignment with the minimum requirements of all Provincial/State regulations specific to site locations. Ensure that industrial hygiene program requirements are implemented and maintained at our sites. Act as an internal authority on all existing and proposed changes in applicable Federal, State, and international laws and regulations related to the field of occupational health and industrial hygiene. Provide IH technical support to operational sites and Corp. HSE team. Review documents, assessments, procedures, medical surveillance programs etc. are adequate to support compliance with our industrial hygiene program development and implementation at sites. Serve as an internal auditor of industrial hygiene program. Represent company in dealings with agencies (Federal, Provincial/State & Local), Trade associations (ARMA) and other partners. Staying current in trending activities related to the industrial hygiene discipline thru attendance of technical conferences, membership in key professional association/trade association teams, and benchmarking activities with peers and/or strategic partners [American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), American Council of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH), American Chemistry Council (ACC), etc.)] Monitor and control the organization's health standards in accordance with OSHA, MSHA, EPA, NRC, and State, Federal, and Provincial programs/ regulations.
