Quantity Surveyor (Landscape)

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-5 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience, preferably in landscape or construction projects.
• Experience in tender preparation, cost estimation, contract administration, and project cost control.
• Good knowledge of landscape construction materials, methods, and specifications.
• Familiar with measurement, Bills of Quantities (BQ), and contract documents.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and quantity surveying software.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and meet project deadlines.
• Job Responsibilities
• Prepare quantity take-offs based on drawings and project specifications.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions for landscape projects.
• Source quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and evaluate pricing.
• Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders (VO), and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs and ensure expenditures remain within the approved budget.
• Review contracts and identify commercial risks.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve cost-effective procurement.
• Evaluate and certify subcontractors' progress claims.
• Liaise with Project Managers, clients, consultants, and subcontractors on contractual and commercial matters.
• Maintain accurate records of project costs, claims, and contract documentation. These responsibilities closely align with current landscape QS roles in Singapore.
