Product Analyst I

About the role

The Product Analyst I is a contributor on MRI Software's global Product Operations team. This role is built for someone who is energized by data - someone who wants to dig into numbers, spot what's working and what isn't, and help the people around them understand what the data is saying. You'll work with guidance from senior analysts and team leads, but you'll be expected to take ownership of your findings and speak up when the data points somewhere important. Responsibilities

• Gather, clean, and organize data from multiple sources to support analysis of delivery, quality, and operational performance
• Identify patterns, trends, and areas of concern within large datasets and summarize findings clearly for team discussion
• Support the preparation of reports and dashboards that give engineering and product teams visibility into their performance
• Assist in presenting findings to development teams; over time, build confidence delivering those findings independently
• Participate in enablement sessions and team discussions aimed at improving data literacy and metrics awareness across delivery teams
• Follow up on open items and track whether teams have acted on shared findings; flag where progress has stalled
• Escalate observations that indicate risk or require senior attention, with relevant context and supporting data
• Required Qualifications
• Data & Analytical Fundamentals
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, technical, or business-related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data organization
• Demonstrated ability to work through large or ambiguous datasets and surface meaningful observations
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to validating data before drawing conclusions
• Communication & Engagement
• Clear written and verbal communication in English
• Comfortable discussing findings with teammates and willing to ask questions when data raises concerns
• Receptive to feedback and able to incorporate it into analysis and presentation style
• Organized and dependable; follows through on commitments and tracks open items without being prompted

Requirements

• 1-2 years of professional experience in a data, analyst, or operations role, or relevant internship experience
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric or Power BI for reporting or visualization
• Familiarity with Jira or similar project tracking tools
• Basic understanding of software development processes, agile delivery, or engineering team operations
• Awareness of engineering delivery metrics such as cycle time, throughput, or defect rates - even if not yet applied professionally
• Experience using AI-assisted tools to write or generate scripts, queries, or code for data extraction or analysis - a strong plus
• Any exposure to version control concepts (Git) or deployment pipeline awareness
