Requirements

• Essential:
• Previous experience and knowledge of operational financial reporting processes;
• Technical knowledge of IFRS, FRC guidance, as well as statutory requirements applicable to the companies in UK, Italy and Japan.

Accountant will join the team at a critical time in the GCAP programme, the standing up of the Joint Venture. This is a rare opportunity to have a long-term impact on the success of the JV, by playing a crucial role in the initial stages of the life of the new organisation and laying the foundations for its success. This position is critical for the company, and this position is primarily responsible for accounting operations and financial reporting with accuracy and timeliness following the accounting standards and the JV's financial accounting policies and practices. Accountant will contribute to accounting and financial operations through daily bookkeeping, standalone and consolidated financial closing work, and other various procedures to maintain the sound financial positions and to meet the requirements of IFRS and the applicable accounting standards. This role will report into Senior Finance Manager - Financial Operations. Key Accountabilities Standalone financial closing: Prepare the standalone financial statements monthly, quarterly and annually. Be responsible for the assigned tasks for the preparation and the reporting of standalone financials with accuracy and timeliness. Tasks includes, but not limited to, accounts close with ERP, preparation of financialdata by business segments and various analysis to confirm the accuracy of financial data. Consolidated financial closing: Be responsible for assigned tasks for the preparation of consolidated financials with accuracy and timeliness. Tasks includes, but not limited to, intercompany elimination, preparation of consolidated worksheet, set of financial statements and relevant supporting materials; Various Financial Reporting: prepare various data and report and perform the analytical procedures for the management decision-making. Other accounting tasks: Carry out day-to-day accounting operations including AP/AR reconsolidation, bank reconciliation, expense processing and VAT filings with AP/AR team, Treasury team and Tax team. Financial audit : Gather and provide supporting evidence and liaise with external and internal auditors Act as day-to-day point of contact for the rest of the Finance function and for statutory auditors as technical accounting subject matter expert.
