Responsibilities
- In this role, you'll support national foodservice operations through hands-on category management, supplier coordination, and data-driven decision-making, and make sure the organization is set up with the right goods and services at the right time - and at the right value!
- Supporting execution of category strategies across food, beverage, disposables, and kitchen equipment
- Managing product listings, specifications, and pricing structures aligned to operational needs
- Assisting with RFPs/RFQs, supplier evaluations, and sourcing initiatives
- Identifying opportunities for SKU rationalization, standardization, and cost savings
- Monitoring commodity trends (meat, dairy, produce) to inform pricing and sourcing decisions
- Supporting contract negotiation and management, including pricing models, rebates, and supplier incentives
- Ensuring contract compliance, audit readiness, and accurate rebate tracking
- Acting as a key liaison between supply chain, culinary, operations, and finance teams
- Supporting product substitutions, menu changes, and continuity planning
- Building strong relationships with broadline distributors, manufacturers, and specialty suppliers
- Supporting supplier performance reviews, including service levels, pricing compliance, and product quality
- Analyzing spend data and developing tools for market basket analysis, price tracking, and savings validation
- Communicating and supporting rollout of new products, supplier programs, and procurement initiatives
- What We're Looking For?
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, or Food Services-or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in foodservice supply chain, procurement, or operations support.
- Direct experience with food distributors (e.g., Sysco, GFS, Core-Mark) and pricing/rebate structures.
- Experience supporting supplier negotiations and RFP processes .
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills (pricing files, audits, reporting).
- Solid understanding of foodservice operations and distribution models .
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data to support decisions.
- Familiarity with contracts, pricing, and commercial terms.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong communication skills - written, verbal, and interpersonal.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and work independently or collaboratively.
- Solid organizational, time‑management, and decision‑making abilities.
