Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred: Experience evaluating and treating speech, language, and hearing disorders in adults and/or children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including work with augmentative and alternative communication devices (AAC). Experience supervising professional staff, conducting evaluations, and coordinating integrated treatment plans. Demonstrated success collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (medical, nursing, OT, PT, special education). Proven experience managing communication and swallowing disorders and understanding their impact on health and safety. Uses Clinical outcomes, quality metrics, and feedback to guide program improvements. Physical Requirements: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a neglible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/ or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work. Work requires visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing; viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading; visual inspections involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
