We are seeking a dynamic individual to fill a key role in the organization. Reporting to the Manager, Strategic Communications, the Communications Specialist - Digital Communications, will contribute to initiatives that support CHEO's vision of the best life for every child and youth, specifically in optimizing web and other digital communications materials across internal and external channels. The specialist will also provide support to the CHEO communications team for various initiatives. The Communications Specialist - Digital Communications will develop and execute impactful digital communications strategies to meet the needs of the organization. Working with colleagues across CHEO, The CHEO Foundation and CHEO Research Institute (RI), the Communications Specialist will ensure strong strategic oversight that leverages emerging trends and best practices. They will develop and execute communications plans with clear, measurable goals, identify strategic communications opportunities, and leverage a variety of internal and external communications channels. The role will focus on reaching targeted audiences through clinical care resources, key messages, multimedia content and compelling narratives, all of which they will help conceptualize, develop and deliver. The Communications Specialist - Digital Communications, understands the importance and the reach of websites and other digital channels, drawing on their extensive experience to create informative and impactful digital and narrative materials to support the goals of the organization. Experience in delivering highly impactful digital communications and leading website/content strategies is key to this position. Experience in UX/UI and AODA/WCAG compliance is considered a strong asset.
