Sr Editor - Japanese Bilingual

Responsibilities

• Support creative text development. Collaborate with the teams providing creative and gameplay goals of each card, and ensure card names, flavor words, and flavor text align with and reinforces those goals.
• Keep a sharp eye on quality. Lead the proofreading process on cards and packaging for content concerns, text errors, layout inconsistencies, and typographical anomalies.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional experience at a Senior Level in editing, game writing, or comparable work; or 3+ years of experience with some project lead experience.
• Strong content editing and proofreading skills, plus attention to detail.
• Deeply collaborative outlook and the confidence and trust to work with others, balanced with proven communication skills in Japanese and English.
• Flexible, adaptable, and creative, with a constant appetite for knowledge. Ability to lead and manage multiple tasks, teams, and projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with Smartsheet, Microsoft Office (esp Word), Adobe Suite (Acrobat, InDesign), and/or Confluence.
• Experience playing or interacting with Trading Card Games or various other kinds of games.

• The base salary range for this position is $87,300.00 to $149,500.00. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
