About the role

This position is located at the West Point Club. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives may be authorized if it is determined to be in the best interest of the Government. This position is entitled to percentage based commissions in addition to salary. Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: One (1) year of specialized work experience performing duties in catering functions. Progressively responsible experience in catering to include overseeing catering crews as they plan, prepare and serve buffets at wedding receptions, charity events, holiday brunches and office functions; assist in the preparation and serving of food and manage the day-to-day business details associated with the running of a catering program etc. Supervisory experience is required. Must be well-organized and be attentive to detail. Must possess ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": 1. Prior experience in catering sales, event management or hospitality management. The experience must be reflected on your resume at the time of application to be considered a highly preferred candidate. Applicants meeting the Highly Preferred criteria will be referred first to the Selecting Official. All other applicants will be referred for consideration if the certificate (referral list) is returned with no selection.
