About the role
Hours of work : Full-time (Part-time will be considered) Tenure : Permanent from 1 August 2026 We invite applications for the post of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Small Animal Dermatology in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, with clinical and teaching responsibilities in the Department of Small Animal Clinical Science. You must possess a veterinary degree and hold membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) ( www.rcvs.org.uk ). The ideal candidate will have a further dermatology qualification; RCVS Certificate (Grade 7), Diploma eligibility (Grade 8) or Diploma (Grade 9). Candidates with a further dermatology qualification, such as Masters or PhD will also be considered (Grade appropriate to qualification) and must possess a veterinary degree and hold membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS). This role is well suited to colleagues who have recently completed a residency, as well as recent or experienced diplomates, who are seeking to further develop or refine their dermatology expertise within a supportive academic and clinical environment. You will have a genuine interest in an academic career, and an interest and experience in both teaching and clinical research. The role is to provide and develop clinical services in small animal dermatology, to maintain and develop excellence in undergraduate and postgraduate student experience and carry out clinical research to support clinical and teaching activities.
