About the role

We are proud to work in partnership with Medway City Council, delivering high-quality property repairs and maintenance services across the local housing stock. Together, we ensure residents receive prompt, professional repairs with a strong focus on customer care, safety, and value. We're now looking for an experienced Glazier to join our growing team, working in a busy repairs environment across residential properties in Gillingham.

Responsibilities

  • Replacing broken or damaged glass units in windows, doors, and screens
  • Measuring, cutting, and fitting glass safely and accurately
  • Carrying out glazing repairs in both occupied and void properties
  • Diagnosing faults and recommending appropriate repair solutions
  • Ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and compliance standards
  • Making safe following breakages and emergency call-outs
  • Using handheld devices (PDA) to log work and update job status
  • Liaising with tenants, supervisors, and colleagues to deliver excellent customer service
  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and company vehicle to a high standard
  • Supporting other trades and contributing to a positive team environment
  • Role Criteria
  • Proven experience working as a Glazier
  • Experience undertaking domestic glazing repairs and replacements
  • Competent in measuring glass and confidently ordering materials with suppliers
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements when handling glass
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Good communication skills - verbal and written
  • Basic IT literacy for logging and reporting tasks
  • Full UK driving licence
