Responsibilities

  • Network Design & Implementation
  • Design, deploy, and support enterprise-scale LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and WLAN infrastructure.

  • Network Security
  • Configure and administer Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco ASA firewalls.
  • Manage firewall policies, ACLs, NAT/PAT, VPNs, IPSec, SSL VPN, and site-to-site connectivity.
  • Implement security controls including segmentation, threat prevention, IDS/IPS, URL filtering, and Zero Trust principles.
  • Perform firewall rule reviews, security hardening, and compliance assessments.
  • Operations & Support
  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 network support for critical enterprise environments.
  • Perform network monitoring, incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
  • Troubleshoot complex Layer 2, Layer 3, wireless, and security-related issues.
  • Execute firmware upgrades, patch management, configuration backups, and system maintenance.
  • Participate in change management and deployment activities following ITIL best practices.
  • Monitoring & Documentation
  • Utilize monitoring and management platforms including Cisco DNA Center, Cisco Prime, Aruba AirWave, SolarWinds, and NMS tools.
  • Perform packet capture analysis using Wireshark and network diagnostic tools.
  • Maintain network documentation including topology diagrams, configuration standards, SOPs, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Conduct redundancy testing, failover validation, and business continuity exercises.
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, application, and project teams on network initiatives.
  • Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and external partners for network deployments and issue resolution.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Requirements

  • Technical Skills
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Network Engineering or Network Infrastructure Support.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco, Aruba, Palo Alto, and Fortinet technologies.
  • Solid understanding of LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, WLAN, TCP/IP, IPv4, and IPv6.
  • Experience configuring routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and static routing.
  • Expertise in switching technologies including VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, and Inter-VLAN Routing.
  • Experience managing enterprise wireless networks and wireless controllers.
  • Strong firewall administration experience including VPN, NAT, ACL, IPSec, and SSL VPN.
  • Knowledge of network security best practices and enterprise security architecture.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring, packet analysis, and troubleshooting tools.
  • Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Aruba ClearPass, Cisco DNA Center, Cisco Prime, and SolarWinds.
  • Knowledge of industrial networks, manufacturing environments, or OT/PCN infrastructure.
  • Exposure to VMware, Active Directory, RADIUS, TACACS+, and network access control solutions.
  • Understanding of Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
  • Certifications (Preferred)

  • PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer)
