The NDT Level 2 X-Ray Technician for Voyager Energetics is responsible for performing radiographic inspections of components critical to aerospace and defense applications. The position reports to the Quality Manager and is part of the Quality Department based in Penrose, CO This role onsite based in Penrose, CO. In this role, the essential functions are: Conduct radiographic inspections using X-ray technology to assess solid propellant grains for defects and imperfections. Evaluate images and interpret test results in accordance with engineering specifications, blueprints, and process instructions. Document findings accurately and maintain historical records for quality assurance. Perform daily equipment setup, calibration, and quality checks to ensure optimal performance. Conduct radiation safety surveys and complete required annual radiation safety training. Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production teams to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards. Level 2 certification in radiography per National Aerospace Standard NAS410 Rev 6 Previous Experience: A candidate's experience with a previous employer may be accepted by Estes Energetics provided it is documented and available for review Minimum of 80 hours of formal classroom education in radiography. At least 1000 hours of hands-on radiography experience.
