Environmental Health & Safety Manager - Fort Worth, TX

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement programs, training, practices and procedures to enhance the DrinkPak safety culture across all functions.
• Ensure a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations and Company policies and procedures, through collaboration with legal, safety, and human resource staff .
• Proactively identify workplace hazard evaluations to determine risk to employee health and safety . Utilize hazard evaluations to implement EHS programs, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the safety program using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and make recommendations and implement corrective action(s) based on industry standards .
• Coordinate the activities of the S afety C ommittee; review and discus s safety needs ; provide regulatory updates and related safety and compliance information .
• Provide assistance to all locations to ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements ; this may include but is not limited to administering tests and coordinating repairs and upgrades or similar tasks as assigned .
• Establishes and implements both tactical and strategic plans including objectives , policies, and operating procedures; monitors , evaluates , and audits program effectiveness; effects change necessary for improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental and Occupational Health or related field or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 to 10 years of experience in EHS within a manufacturing environment. Experience in Food & Beverage is a plus. Experience developing the EHS function is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA, DOT, NFPA, EPA , and other governmental regulations and laws including OSHA 300 logs and requirements by our insurance providers.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred but not required .
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and managerial skills.
• Thorough understanding of the policies and practices used in manufacturing.
• Ability to set long-term goals and communicate them to others.
• Ability to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goals.
• OSHA General Industry 10- or 30-hour training course preferred.
• Demonstrated history of managing multi-site organizations, with a focus on managing high performing inter-facility logistics fleets.
• Proven experience motivating and inspiring a team to achieve industry-leading performance.
• Self-motivated and self-directed with strong business acumen.
• Proven commitment to safety with a clean safety record.
• Ability to work actively on your feet for extended periods of time, navigate stairs comfortably, and lift up to 50 lbs.
