White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Structural Heart RN Clinical Program Coordinator for our Cardiology Department who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Structural Heart RN Clinical Program Cardiology Coordinator, you will: - Responsible for the development, implementation, coordination and maintenance of the structural heart program that complies with national standards for quality of care for heart failure patients as determined by the American College of Cardiology and governmental regulation for CMS compliance. - Leads the development and implementation of program goals and operations for structural heart Program - Educate nursing and ancillary staff on the best practices of symptom recognition and assessment, structural heart. Develops and supports education to meet all requirements. - Develop, coordinate, manage, facilitate and evaluate orientation programs for the structural heart Program - Facilitates practice transitions of healthcare team members across learning and practice environments and roles - Provides guidance for care to interdisciplinary team as it relates to the standards. Works closely with Emergency Medical Services to assure optimal continuity of care from pre-hospital to hospital. - Educate nursing and ancillary staff on the best practices of symptom recognition and assessment, Aortic stenosis, Mitral regurgitation for patients. - Enhances the structural heart program practice through the provision and management of compliance with continuing education requirements (nursing and physicians) - Assists (nurses, physicians, technicians, community liaisons etc.) in preparation for program accreditation through training and provision of continuing education - Promotes cohesive work teams and constructive conflict resolution, actively supporting intra and inter-disciplinary teamwork within the department and the organization - Collaborates with other departments as needed to provide patient-centered care - Models and encourages professional practice that includes autonomy, authority, accountability and responsibility within the organization - Sustains personal professional curiosity and willingness to explore new knowledge and ideas Qualifications include: - Graduate of accredited school of nursing; B.S.N. required - Master's/ DNP Degree preferred. - 5 years' experience in chest pain accreditation, cardiac cath lab, Critical Care, Emergency nursing, or Emergency Medical Services - Relevant STEMI or Cardiovascular coordinator experience serving the needs of consumers with cardiovascular disease across the care continuum preferred - Applicable direct clinical patient care experience in caring for consumers with cardiovascular disease within the past 10 years. - Two years of leadership, preferably in cardiac setting. - Current Maryland State nursing license (or ability to obtain) - Current BLS & ACLS if required in clinical area of focus - Certification in clinical specialty area or in nursing professional development achieved within one year of eligibility Work Schedule: Employment Type: Full-time Hours per Week: 40 hrs/week Shift Type: Day shift Weekend Requirements: None Holiday Requirements: Required No On-Call: No Pay Range: $37.17 - $55.76 If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
